What Kind of Person Are You Becoming?
Strong families begin with strong relationships.
Strong relationships are built on strong character.
Strong characgter is built on knowing who you are in Christ.
Character Building
Discover who God created you to be. Build the character to live it out.
You were made intentionally.

He created you intentionally, knows you completely, and calls you into relationship with Him. From that foundation, character develops through the choices we make, the challenges we face, and the way we learn to live according to who He created us to be.

Character isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about becoming more fully who God created you to be.

Character is more than being good.
Character is built over time.
Character is built one decision at a time.
You Don’t Have To Become Someone Else.

God calls you to grow in the fullness of who you truly are.

Your Decisions Matter

Every day, we make choices that shape our lives.

Some decisions are small. Others can change everything. And some of the most important decisions are made before we’re ever faced with the moment of choice.

If you’ve already decided, “I will follow God and live according to His ways,” the question becomes different when temptation comes.

You don’t have to decide who you are in the moment.

You’ve already decided.

“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.”
— Joshua 24:15
Decisions Effect Character, Effect Life, and Effect Relationship with God
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
— Ephesians 2:10
“Be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
— Romans 12:2
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
— Galatians 5:22-25
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5-6
God is the foundation.
Family is the environment.
Character is the journey.
Joy is the outcome.
Life Doesn’t Come With A Manual…
Or does it?
At ProudParent we believe that family is one of life’s greatest gifts—and one of its greatest challenges.

We invite you to discover life’s greatest parenting manual. A manual that has endured for over 2,000 years.

Through seasons of joy, uncertainty, conflict, or change, we all need wisdom and encouragement.

ProudParent seeks to help provide guidance to understand the love of The Lord and how to strengthen relationships, overcome challenges, and build a better more joyous life.

God created each of us with purpose. The decisions we make shape the way we live out that purpose. When we use His Word as our guide, our choices can increasingly align our lives with His design—and with the person He calls us to become.
And perhaps that is the deeper purpose behind it all: not simply becoming a better person, but becoming more like the person God created us to be—and growing in our relationship with the God who created us.

6 Steps to a Stronger Character

Character is not something we simply have. It is something we develop over time through the choices we make, the habits we practice, and the way we respond to the circumstances of life.

The Bible repeatedly connects our choices with the person we become. These six principles provide a simple way to think about building stronger character in everyday life.

01

Know Your Values

Proverbs 4:23
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Strong character begins with knowing what matters to you. Values give you a standard for making decisions instead of simply reacting to whatever is easiest or most convenient.

Put it into practice: Identify the principles you want your life to reflect, then use them as a guide when making everyday decisions.

02

Make Intentional Choices

Joshua 24:15
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve... but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Character is shaped by decisions. Every choice reinforces a direction, and repeated choices can become patterns that influence who we become.

Put it into practice: Before making an important choice, ask whether the decision reflects the person you want to become.

03

Practice Good Habits

Galatians 6:9
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Character develops through repetition. Doing the right thing once is important, but consistently practicing what is good helps turn good choices into dependable patterns of behavior.

Put it into practice: Choose one behavior that reflects the character you want to develop and practice it consistently.

04

Do the Right Thing When It Is Difficult

James 1:2–4
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

Difficult circumstances reveal and develop character. Patience, perseverance, courage, and self-control become meaningful when they are practiced when doing the right thing is difficult.

Put it into practice: When pressure makes the wrong choice easier, pause and choose the response that reflects your values.

05

Take Responsibility

Galatians 6:5
“For every man shall bear his own burden.”

Strong character includes taking ownership of our choices and their consequences. Responsibility means recognizing that our actions matter and refusing to make excuses when we get something wrong.

Put it into practice: When you make a mistake, acknowledge it, make things right where possible, and learn from what happened.

06

Learn, Correct, and Keep Growing

Proverbs 24:16
“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.”

Strong character does not mean never failing. It means learning from failure, correcting our course, and continuing to grow. Character becomes stronger when mistakes become opportunities for wisdom rather than reasons to quit.

Put it into practice: Ask what went wrong, what you can learn from it, and what you can do differently the next time.

Character Is Built One Choice at a Time

Our character is shaped over time by what we repeatedly choose, practice, and pursue. The goal is not perfection. The goal is to keep making choices that move us toward the person God created us to be.
