If you fall into the category of “I don’t know how to pray” or praying doesn’t do any good… read on.

Prayers do not have to be formal or like you see in church with all the formality.

Prayers are yours and can/should be said in your words and in your way.

Here are just a few thoughts to help get you started.

Prayers should always come from a place of gratitude within you and never from a place of anger. Negativity, anger, and anything less than positive are only serving as blocks to raising your prayers to their highest level. Thereby making them the most effective.

Ground yourself to Mother Earth first. This just means to feel your connection to the ground and nature. This can help you focus and get rid of the day-to-day clutter in your thinking.

Feel the feeling of being humble. Being giving. Being positive. Being loving.

Feel this feeling flushing over you as the negative world falls away. Become calmer. Take a moment doing this if you need to. Remember, be loving, be loving, be loving.

To help this along, start thinking about those things you ARE grateful for no matter how small they may be. They can be on any topic.

Offer these thoughts of gratitude toward whatever you believe is outside yourself. What you see as a higher source. Some pray to the Lord, some to God, some to whatever name they give.

For example, I thank the Lord for the awareness of Him. For His sacrifice for me on the Cross. For ensuring me and forgiving me my sins. For His unconditional love of me. This always puts me in a good mood and a mood of gratitude.

Ask in your prayer, do not demand. A prayer is a request for assistance. Be humble. This is why people bow their heads or get down on their knees. It is a sign of respect for a power far greater than your own. It is a sign of humility.

Prayer have no minimum or maximum length. Prayer have no specific language (or code) that needs to be spoken. Prayers are between you and what you see as your higher source outside yourself. (I put it this way because I take from my Boy Scout leadership days that all they required was that you believe in something outside yourself… they did not make you define what that was).

If you feel you received an answer or support in any way, be sure to give thanks for the answer.

Know that you can pray at any time. You do not need to be in a church or some religious place. God is with you always. To receive any help you must ask. That is a prayer.

Matthew 7:7-8

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; For everyone that sketch receiveth; and he that seeketh finders; and to him that knocketh it shall be open.

This is all about being “open.” Being receptive and knowing you have help. If you are angry, negative, or in lower energy you are blocking this  support… or/and not truly seeing the answers to your prayers. Understand that answers to prayers can come in many different forms. Being open to them is our job. A new acquaintance in our lives. A passing comment from someone (anyone) that sparks a thought within us. An opportunity – which we must recognize as an answer to prayer or not.

Pray often. There is no limit. Get connected with the Lord (or what you see as your higher power). Feel the connection.  Develop a relationship with the Lord over time. Your relationship will be just that, your relationship. No one can tell you what it is or should be. Only you will know through your heart.

Allow your heart to be your guide. You will know what feels good and true. Everything good comes from a position of love, caring, and benevolence. 

Remember to give thanks and often.

If you have ever wondered this, there are some things you should keep in mind. Be aware of the level of vibration you are praying from. Your prayers can actually be intercepted, if they are not of the right vibration and properly sent to the highest dimension.

Ever hear of a Flibby? Flibbys are what some people call those spirits (people) that die and pass to the next dimension. We live in the 3rd dimension. When you die, you go to the 4th dimension. Those Beings that pass to the next dimension that were not very nice people tend to hang around the lower part of the 4th dimension. Keep in mind, you automatically pass to the 4th dimension when you die, whether you were a positive or negative type of spirit. You have no choice. However, if the spirit was negative they would tend to stay around the bottom portion of the 4th dimension, because they would not have ascended their soul much. This means they are closer to your vibration here in the 3rd dimension. Some spirits don’t even realize they passed over.

Spirits that pass to the 4th dimension that did a great job of ascending their soul while on earth would tend to be at a higher vibration and therefore be higher in the next dimension… Further from your vibration here in the 3rd dimension.

So, when you pray with a negative or lower vibration of your own and your request rides your lower vibration to the higher dimension (remember your thoughts are things and they automatically become energy riding a vibration), who do you think gets them first? The energies that are hanging around the lower part of the 4th dimension. Remember, they tend to be the less desirable types of spirits. 

What do you do? How do you avoid this and get your prayers higher up to your Guides, Angels, or God? You need to hold the highest vibration you can and pray with specific intensions and direction of where you are sending the prayer (see Vibrations in earlier chapter). The sun is the open door (energy) to the universe and God. Set your intensions to send your prayer to the sun. This will bypass the lower dimensions and not-so-nice spirits and take your prayer right to God. This way your Angels, Guides, and passed family members will receive it directly without any interference.

Your prayer should be from a point of view of being humble, loving, and not aimed at hurting anyone including yourself.

Think of it as an honor to ask for help and especially to receive it. 

Answers to your prayers only come if it is best for your highest and best good. If you get no answer, you either missed the answer, because they can be subtle, or the lower dimensional beings in the 4th dimension got your prayer, or it was not for your highest and best good. You may need to re-evaluate your request.

Help may come in a number of different ways. It could be a coincidental meeting with someone that could help you with what ever problem you are working on. It could be to help you avoid meeting someone that would harm you. Chances are, it won’t be like the burning bush that Moses received when God spoke to him (bible story) or the clouds parting and heavenly Angels coming down to speak to you. It will be more subtle. You need to pay attention to your heart.

You may also be going through a struggle that you selected in your Soul Contract (see Soul Contract in earlier chapter). Therefore, you may not receive the type of help you are looking for. Instead of the kind of help that has you avoid a situation, you may receive help that allows you to get through it more easily. Or to shorten the duration of what you are going through. There are many possibilities. What I want you to do here is remain open and understand there is a process here. That you are being heard. Don’t get bitter toward God. Stay loving.

There are many principles that  you can develop in your own life to live by for your best and highest good. The bible gives us the 10 commandments. They are all designed to help you live your life to the fullest while at the same time providing ample room to experience life and learn what you came to learn.

Keep in mind that you do not want to hurt others or hurt lots of people at once. Live your life free of hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is claiming to have moral standards of beliefs that  you expect others to live by, but don’t live by them yourself.

Your principles should be basic (as the 10 commandments are) and you should use them in your daily life as you make decisions and look for Joy (referenced from previous chapters). You have Free Will.  You find yourself faced with a choice. You are looking for Joy… You can apply your principles to help you make your choice.

For your reference: The 10 Commandments:

“I am the LORD your God.” Remember that I exist and influence all the world.

“Do not make an image or any likeness of what is in the heavens above…” Don’t worship things (idols) or people.

“Do not swear falsely by the name of the LORD…” Don’t make false oaths in His name.

“Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.” (we think of this as Sunday). A day to study and remember God and His gifts in your life. To NOT be working on business.

“Honor your father and your mother…” Honor God by fulfilling your obligation to honor your parents. 

“Do not murder” A capital sin. We must all live together.

“Do not commit adultery.” Adultery: having sex with another even though you or they are married. Honor the institution of marriage. 

“Do not steal.” Taking what is not yours only ultimately hurts you. Honor yourself by being true to yourself and the ultimate Joy you seek in your life.

“Do not bear false witness against your neighbor” Don’t lie. Don’t lie against another person. Don’t bring another person harm by lying. 

“Do not covet your neighbor’s wife” Covet is to want or desire that which God has given to another. 

Regarding Dimensions… I have the least personal experience surrounding dimensions than any other subject in this book. What I know comes from interviewing others, research, and personal experience with self-proclaimed healers (Reiki healers for example). Having said that, since I was very young, I have always felt there are many “layers” of consciousness (not calling them dimensions at the time).

What follows is a description of the dimensions and how they differ. However, I have been told my a few people that have a reputation as being very learned on this subject that there are an unlimited number of dimensions.

A major aspect of dimensions is that it supports my understanding of us having a higher self. The idea that we are multi-dimensional beings. Which I fully believe. See also the chapter on Higher Self.

1st Dimension: The individual cell, the atom, the single building block of life

2nd Dimension: The plant kingdom, survival oriented, get food & survive

3rd Dimension: Matter based where your physical body exists. Basis
of fear and love. We are aware of time and space and our separation
between us, others, and God.

4th Dimension: Non-linear time. Time is circular (Quantum Physics) like a dream state.
Thoughts manifest instantly. Emotional based.  

5th Dimension: Heaven worlds, love and harmony. Learning through love
and pleasure. Aware of self as a master. 

6th Dimension: Christ consciousness – function of what you do with love. Where angels and archangels are from. No duality (good/bad energies).

7th Dimension: Unification with higher-self, surrendering ego.

8th Dimension: Transformative self, merging with 7th dimension.

9th Dimension: Collective consciousness. Less of our ego. More WE.

10th Dimension: Understand our mission is as a cosmic Being.

11th Dimension: Group consciousness. See ourselves as everybody.

12th Dimension: Cosmic consciousness. Full realization. No separation.

13th Dimension: The creator of our reality. One. God.

There are many references in the bible of events happening that involve places other than where the action is occurring. For example in John 1:32, John speaks of being witness to the Spirit coming down from “heaven” like a dove. He describes seeing energy coming and was upon Jesus. So what did he really see? Don’t know. But it appears to have come from a place unseen as energy (Spirit) and surround Jesus or was on Jesus somehow.

The next verse, Hebrews 11:1, below speaks of the fact that faith is believing in the unseen and having the conviction of your faith that they will be. Sounds very Law of Attraction to me.

Other ideas: Space.com a discussion was presented on a Multiverse (https://www.space.com/32728-parallel-universes.html) or even parallel Universes. Are these possibly dimensions?

Einstein revealed that Time is our fourth dimension (Height, Width, and Depth being the 3rd D). Whereas, string theory suggests that six more dimensions exist, but are somehow hidden from our senses. They could be all around us, but curled up to be so tiny that we have never realized their existence. 

From: (https://phys.org/news/2014-12-universe-dimensions.html) String theory also suggests the fifth and sixth dimensions are where the notion of possible worlds arises.  If we could see on through to the fifth dimension, we would see a world slightly different from our own that would give us a means of measuring the similarity and differences between our world and other possible ones.

In the sixth, we would see a plane of possible worlds, where w could compare and position all the possible universes that start with the same initial conditions as this one (i.e. Big Bang). In theory, if you could master the fifth and sixth dimensions, you could travel back in time or go to different futures.

In the seventh dimension, you have access to the possible worlds that start with different initial conditions. Whereas in the fifth and sixth, the initial conditions were the same and subsequent actions were different, here, everything is different from the very beginning of time. The eighth dimension again gives us a plane of such possible universe histories, each of which begins with different initial conditions and branches out infinitely (hence why they are called infinities).

In the ninth dimension, we can compare all the possible universe histories, starting with all the different possible laws of physics and initial conditions. In the tenth and final dimension, we arrive at the point in which everything possible and imaginable is covered. Beyond this, nothing can be imagined by us lowly mortals, which makes it the natural limitation of what we can conceive in terms of dimensions.

A take-away from the above materials might be that from the Spiritual to the Biblical and the Scientific… the notion of dimensions exists and is attempted to be explained.

Another take-away might be that there could be more that we do not see around us than we actually see with our eyes. In my opinion, this is true. And that is why I have worked to develop my senses and encourage you to do the same. At the very least, you will learn more about yourself. You may also come to perceive more on your own rather than have someone give you their opinion.

Everything in life is vibration – Albert Einstein

First, a bit of background or ground work. Science agrees that vibrations, resonance, are the key mechanism behind human consciousness, as well as animal consciousness more generally. … All things in our universe are constantly in motion, vibrating. All things in our universe are constantly in motion, vibrating. Even objects that appear to be stationary are in fact vibrating, oscillating, resonating, at various frequencies. Resonance is a type of motion, characterized by oscillation between two states. And ultimately all matter is just vibrations of various underlying fields. (also refer to chapter on frequency).  

Higher vibration is linked to positive. Lower vibration is linked to negative. Love, joy, and gratitude are considered among the highest vibrations emotionally available to Humans.

Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!

Bible Verse: John 1:1 

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

(John 1:1) and teaches us that this vibration is from God, and is God Himself. The ‘Word’ in this verse is the Greek word ‘logos’, which is in the Bible used to delineate speech and faculties of the mind like thinking and reasoning.

We know that speech means not just any kind of a vibration, but a vibration that carries information, is uttered by a living person and embodies a concept or an idea. In this case it means that the living Creator, our Father God, created an intelligent vibration which then created everything else. 

Hopefully that lays some reasoning as to why we should be speaking to raise our vibration.  We’ve already learned that vibration is linked to emotion. And that emotion is our compass for where our current vibration stands. Therefore, it would reason that if we raise our emotions (i.e. sad to neutral, neutral to happy), we can raise our vibration. 

I always say that to raise your vibration you need to want to raise your vibration. I have met plenty of people in my life that are content to wallow in their misery (more on this later).  Believe me, I’ve tried to help others raise their vibration to no avail, because they did not want to. In fact, I consider one of the lowest points in my life was when I was trying to help my mother raise her vibration (improve her mood) when she completely and utterly rejected me. And when I say me, I mean me as a person. I took it deeply. It was like staring into the energy of the evil one himself. She turned to me and flat out said: “I don’t want any of your pollyannic views.” If she were the spitting type, I would not have been surprised if that statement was followed by a spit on the ground at my feet.

Definition (I state this because I think it important to the story)

Pollyannic: 

(noun) An excessive or blindly optimistic person. 

(adjective) Unreasonably or illogically optimistic

So you get the idea. A pollyannic view would be in her mind, at the time, a blindly optimistic person. One that she wanted nothing to do with.

The good news is (I know, you’re saying, there you go again… finding the bright side) that I have had time for healing. Not only from that incident, but from the loss of her in general. I have also had time to continue my Spiritual and Biblical study (something I encourage everyone do as long as they have breath in their body). 

I learned that at I was not speaking to the loving mother I know. The mother that raised me. The mother that sacrificed in so many ways to make me who I was. The man standing in front of her giving her back the very positive outlook on life that she taught me for 50 years. If I am anything… I am a product of my Mother’s love and upbringing to be the best I can be.

To wrap up this story, I backed off of the conversation at the time. I was shattered. I should have taken a walk around the block. We never spoke of it. To do so would have been to relive it. From experience in my childhood, I could also tell myself that this was like many other events we shared while she had been drinking. Whereby, the next day, she would have no memory of the event. I hoped so. 

I share this story to share the notion that sometimes you need to separate the emotion, vibration, or speech you encounter in someone as NOT who they truly are. That our energies can swing drastically for a number of reasons. For the negative side it could be from poor health, grief or loneliness. If you are immersed in a surrounding of these types of energies regardless of whether they are of your own making or not, you can succumb to some pretty dark energy. Being aware of this is your first defense. Asking for help is another. But, but getting to the point of asking can be difficult as such a time. That takes us to the idea of this chapter.

Ok, so now we know that a prerequisite to raising your vibration is the desire to raise it. So what do you do? First, I always request help from the universe (see Guides and Angels in a later chapter). Why not get help from the happiest energies around you? Remember, you are on a journey and you are not alone. You have 24/7 support through your own personal Angel Guides.

Meditation and Breathing are your next best step. Meditation and management of your breathing (remember Prana or life force from an earlier chapter) is the key to managing your vibration. You can raise your vibration by lowering worry or fear level, which is resistance. Get your Ego out of the way and the day-to-day stresses out of the way. Be in the NOW. Let your breathing and your awareness of your breathing take over. 

If you are in a bad mood, this should at the very least bring you back to a neutral feeling, because you released the energy surrounding whatever was making you angry. The better job you do of this the more you raise your vibration. Incidentally, it is actually hard for light beings, such as angels, the slow their energy down enough to communicate with us. So, raising our vibration even a little bit helps close the gap and makes it easier connect to higher vibrations.

Before you start any meditation move your body. Dance. Hop on one foot. Get oxygen in your body and get yourself feeling Joy. It is hard to dance and stay mad at someone. Moving your body moves your energy. Important: Always, always set your protection as I described earlier. Remember, everything is energy. Good things and bad. Or higher more loving things or lower more dense things. Protect yourself from everything, but what is highest and best for you.

Treat your body as a temple. Watch what you eat. Don’t fill it with fats and sugar. Eat only when you are hungry and not because you are nervous or stressed. Eat a balanced diet. Eat natural things and cut out preservatives where ever you can. Believe it or not… it matters.

Before you know it, you will be able to easily pull yourself away from negative feelings and find a more balanced or better feeling to brighten your day. And when you excersise this ability, you will become happier more often or for longer stretches of time. People around you will wonder why you are in such a good mood and you will be able to say with a smile. “oh, for no reason.”

Bu the way, I’m okay with being “pollyannic.” It is my faith that makes me so.

Get enough sleep.

Having an attitude of gratitude calms the heart.

Respect other people, animals and nature.

Share, love, learn.

Be the magnet for light and love.

Respect yourself. You are a true expression of Gods love

You can do things that do not cost money to raise your vibration, but give you a release and an uplifting feeling.

Take a salt bath for releasing within your muscles. Your aura will respond.

Recognize what you do have with gratitude. Be present in the moment for the best part of that moment. 

You can control your own emotions.

Remember, all matter is energy. You are energy.

You control your Free Will.

You control your Choices.

If ever there was a warning, a truth, and a way to deal with meditation, prayer, or any type of connection to spirit, this verse would be it. It is also interesting that the bible speaks a lot about spirit. To me, the next verse deals with both spirit unseen and the spirit within each of us.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

In the following pages are a few basic graphics illustrating vibration as it relates to spirit.

Treat your thoughts as things. Here is what happens. You think of something you want. The universe gives it to you. But, typically you don’t receive it right away for a number of reasons. In our world, what we think about does not come immediately but with a buffer of time. In Heaven, thoughts manifest at will. The “thing” you desire, however is sitting there in a state of readiness waiting for you to energetically accept it. The universe WILL and does always answer your request right away. It sits in your energy field waiting for you to become a total energetic match to it. But, we are typically blocking ourselves from receiving what we ask for because of a number of energetic reasons. 

Sometimes the reason is a fear we hold. Sometimes it is a believe that we don’t “really” deserve what we are asking for – – a counter-belief that is energetically stronger than the energetic believe in asking/receiving it. We may believe on the outside that we want something and at the very same time, and subconsciously, believing we don’t deserve it. Therefore the universe waits for us to work it out. For those things that we know we want and there is no other negative thought blocking it, they can come into our lives much more quickly. Ever feel like things come in waves (good or bad)? It is usually many energetic “asks” coming lining up and manifesting together. This ties into the chapters on emotions and vibrations.

The good news is there is a way to unlock this and let all desired things flow to you. It involves opening our mind, clearing your emotions, and raising your vibration (get happy). It is referred to as “allowing.” This can be done in many ways and meditation is just one of them. Meditation is a way to quiet our conscious mind (or Ego) and allow our subconscious mind to connect to our Higher-Self. This gets all that garbage of self-doubt or disbelief out of the way and allows us to receive what we asked for. Other means of quieting the mind may include performing a “mindless” task, such as, a walk in the woods (or any form of exercise), or a craft (like crochet)…

There’s nothing spooky about meditation… it’s even referred to in the bible in over 20 verses. Here are just a few:

He went out to the field one evening to meditate, and as he looked up, he saw camels approaching.

Keep this book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

But whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.

My mouth will speak words of wisdom; the meditation of my heart will give you understanding.

Now there is one more element to consider. We can ask for many things and follow the process described above and still not receive. Why? Because, ultimately it must be for our “highest and best good” (see Soul Contracts in a related chapter). We can ask to win the lottery, but if it is not for our highest and best good, it probably is not going to happen (the odds are just one reason we don’t win 🙂 but mostly we have been conditioned to believe we wont win due to the odds. But, why are their people that have won multiple times. Some even as many as seven times AND while playing the same or similar numbers (according to news reports).

Bottom line, get rid of negative thoughts as best you can. Drop the “potty mouth” if this is a habit. Find good in the things your experience. Flex these muscles. For it is practice that makes the task easier.
